Retreats & Events
Charlotte Center for Mindfulness hosts community retreats and events throughout the year. They are an opportunity to practice and connect in community, through mindfulness. They also support our fundraising efforts (donations are encouraged, but not required). Retreats are led by CCM teachers and are suitable for beginners and experienced mindfulness practitioners.
Most retreats last from 2-3 hours.

Below are our upcoming offerings:
Winter 2025 Retreat and Community Gathering: The Gift of Intention
When: Saturday, January 18, 2025 - 11:30a - 3:30p
Where: Watershed Charlotte, Main Auditorium
(Enter through the main parking lot, and go through the double doors at the end of the hallway.)
Leaders: Lindsay Bridges, Clara Irwin, and Kym Motley
Cost: Donation
Description: We often start our New Year with goals that are easily tossed aside when not met. In this retreat, we instead explore the power of intention setting. Intentions are like the North Star showing us the path that leads to home. They are the light that shines the way back to the path whenever we step off -- as we inevitably will. Taking time to contemplate our deepest intentions helps that light be strong in our daily lives and in our moments of challenge when we most need it.
Join us as we gather to explore how intentions are a root strength of mindfulness practice.
We will have time for a light lunch together, sitting and movement meditation, journaling and community sharing. We hope you can come!

“Sometimes, you hear a voice through the door calling you,
as fish out of water hear the waves,
as the hunting falcon hears the drums.
Come back, come back.
Turning toward what you deeply love saves you.”
