Mindfulness Cafe
Our new offering of a Mindfulness Cafe is to explore a topic in mindfulness in an inviting cafe environment in order to support meditation, discussion and contemplation. Our second offering will be a Mindfulness Cafe of Solstice and Poetry .
This Mindfulness Cafe is an evening of poetry and mindfulness to celebrate the Winter Solstice. This will be an invitation to to be with ourselves in times of darkness and uncertainty. We'll begin with an opening meditation then read some poems that center on hope in times of grief and despair, searching for glimmers of light and beauty in the season of fallow and restoration. We'll have time for journaling and group share. Tea and snacks provided.
This retreat will be offered by donation to help support Charlotte Center for Mindfulness. Please consider giving generously as you are able in support of our mission of growing better access and availability of mindfulness as a resource for all.
When: Friday, December 22. 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Where: Watershed, 2101 Shenandoah Ave, 28205. Room 119
Leaders: Brooke Lehmann

Death and dying are a part of life. But in our culture, we often miss the opportunity to talk about our relationship with death and dying in an open and mindful way.
In this Mindfulness Cafe, we will gather to contemplate what comforts and troubles us in our thoughts of death and dying. We will meditate, share our thoughts and experiences, and have tea & treats.

This Mindfulness Cafe is appropriate for both beginning and experienced meditators. We will spend time with guided meditations, mindful small group sharing, community discussion, and grounding. All of the practices will be appropriate for anybody with plenty of room for taking care of your body's needs with what feels best for you. And of course, there will be tea and treats!
We hope you can join us as we explore how we can be mindful about the relationship we all have to death and dying.
